Content and purpose of the salon
This salon of excellence was also held online due to the influence of COVID-19. We discussed according to the keyword suggested by Okuda, the program coordinator of WINGS-PES. To decide keywords, we asked Hayashi (Education Support Office), and we adopt two keywords (Planetary Boundaries & Global South) that would be important in thinking together about the global environment. Using the breakout room of Zoom,
participants were divided into four groups and discussed in each group toward the output goal. In addition, at the end of each session, we received a report from a representative of each group who we determined before the salon of excellence. In this salon, the goal was to take the opportunity to think about themes that have never been conscious of until now, related to their research.
