Content and purpose of the salon
Due to the effects of the COVID19 disaster, we decided to hold the Salon of Excellence online. In this case, we decided to use Remo as the main online tool, as it is easy to go back and forth between multiple talk tables.
The content of the session was as follows: each participant moved to a table at his/her own timing to discuss a topic assigned by the students and professors in advance. The purpose of this format was to promote communication and sharing of ideas among the participants, which would lead to future academic integration. We also prepared a table where international students were required to use English so that they could fully participate in the discussion. In addition, at the end of the salon, we had time for some participants to give their opinions, and after the salon, we received questionnaires from the participants to help us hold future salons.
