18:00-19:00 Poster Session
As this Salon was the opportunity to welcome many new students, poster sessions were held as a way of self-introduction and research information exchange. The Salon was a blended event being held both online and offline in order to ensure proper infection prevention measures in accordance with the guidelines of GSFS including hand disinfection, wearing masks, opening windows and doors, and preserving participation record.
Flash Talks
First, each researcher had two minutes to introduce ourselves and our research as well as convey our
personality and our enthusiasm. In the FS Hall on the 1st floor of the Environment Building. WINGS-PES
students join the program from diverse research fields and this time we were welcoming nine new researchers, so there was ample opportunity to learn about exciting new research.
Poster session
After our Flash Talks, three 20-minute poster sessions were held in which teachers and students could
actively mix and exchange opinions. I enjoyed several opportunities to introduce my research at various
WINGS-PES events. Each opportunity was a great chance to field questions, exchange opinions
and consider my research again from a new perspective. This time I was extremely lucky to be asked some unexpected questions and given some interesting suggestions that I may be able to use in
future research.
