2.3 Discussion
In this workshop, after making decisions for the 10-year period from 2025 to 2035, each group discussed
how their decisions would affect each other and what kind of decisions would lead to effective CO2
emission reductions.
The participants also suggested improvements to the simulator and new ways of conducting the
workshop.
Summary
This salon was held in the form of a workshop, which is different from the conventional format. We realized that it is difficult to get participants with different backgrounds to understand the background and implementation method, and to actually work on it in the limited time of two hours. On the other hand, we felt that we could get ideas and feedback that we could not imagine by ourselves. We believe that this is the opportunity given by WINGS-PES, where students and teachers with different specialties gather. We plan to conduct a similar workshop for visitors to the open campus on Saturday, October 23, 2021, and hope to devise a more effective way of conducting the workshop based on the findings of this workshop.
